- related digital services.
The nature and amount of data processed depend upon the Services you use.
4. APPLICABLE DATA PROTECTION FRAMEWORK
Bharat Business Networks™ processes personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law.
This includes, to the extent applicable and in force from time to time:
- the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023;

6. B.CRED™ VERIFICATION INFORMATION
Where you apply for B.Cred™ verification or another verification feature, Bharat Business Networks™ may request or process information reasonably required to verify the details associated with your account, professional identity or business.
Depending upon the verification being undertaken, this may include:
- name;
- business or professional information;
- company information;
- corporate registration information;
- professional credentials;
- publicly available information;
- documents voluntarily submitted for verification;
- contact information; and
- verification status.
Verification data is used for legitimate Platform functions such as:
- preventing impersonation;
- protecting Platform integrity;
- confirming submitted information;
- enabling verification indicators; and
- reducing fraudulent activity.
Bharat Business Networks™ seeks to avoid collecting additional personal information beyond what is reasonably required for the relevant verification process.
7. MEMBERSHIP & TRANSACTION INFORMATION
When you purchase an Ecosystem Membership or another paid Service, we may process information including:

- purchase date;
- amount paid;

- payment reference or transaction identifier;
- refund status;
- subscription or membership history; and
- relevant payment-provider information.
8. PAYMENT INFORMATION
Payments may be processed through third-party payment gateways, banks, card networks, NBFCs, lenders or other authorised payment service providers.
Bharat Business Networks™ generally does not need to store complete debit-card, credit-card, banking-password or similar sensitive payment authentication credentials where those are collected directly by an authorised payment provider.
Third-party payment providers process payment information according to their own terms and privacy practices.

Bharat Business Networks™ is not a lending institution and does not independently determine credit eligibility unless expressly stated otherwise.

10.1 Public Business Information vs Member Personal Data
Bharat Business Networks™ distinguishes between:
- (a) personal data provided by or relating to our Members; and
(b) business or company information obtained from lawful/public sources for business-discovery purposes.
Membership in Bharat Business Networks™ does not mean that private Member personal data is automatically added to a commercial lead database.
Likewise, the availability of business information through business-discovery features does not authorise Members to use that information unlawfully.
10.2 Business Contact Information
Where a business email address or other business contact information relates to an identifiable individual, it may constitute personal data depending upon the nature and context of the information.
Bharat Business Networks™ will process such information in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements to the extent they apply.
11. PROFILE & MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Members may create profiles designed to allow professional and business discovery within the Bharat Business Networks™ ecosystem.
Depending upon your settings and the applicable feature, your profile may contain:

- professional title;
- business name;
- organisation;
- city;
- industry;
- professional biography;
- products or services;
- verification status;
- B.Cred™ badge;
- membership status; and
- information you choose to make visible.
You should avoid publishing information on your profile that you do not wish other authorised users or, where applicable, the public to see.
12. MARKETPLACE INFORMATION
Where you use the Bharat Business Networks™ marketplace, we may process information including:
- seller or service-provider profile;
- business name;
- product or service information;
- product images;
- descriptions;
- catalogues;
- pricing information where provided;
- contact information;
- enquiries;
- marketplace interactions; and
- other information submitted in connection with listings.
Information submitted for marketplace publication may be visible to other Platform users.
13. COMMUNITY FEED & USER CONTENT

Where Bharat Business Networks™ provides Member chat or messaging features, we may process information necessary to transmit, secure and operate those communications.
This may include:
- sender and recipient identifiers;
- message content;
- timestamps;
- delivery information;
- attachments; and
- information relating to reported or abusive communications.
Bharat Business Networks™ does not claim ownership of private Member communications.
However, communications may be accessed, preserved, reviewed or disclosed where reasonably necessary to:

- maintain Platform security;
- enforce our Terms;
- protect Members;

Members may be able to update certain information through their Member Dashboard.
Bharat Business Networks™ may also provide mechanisms for requesting correction of inaccurate personal information where appropriate.

Personal data may be shared only where reasonably necessary for Platform operation or another lawful purpose.

Bharat Business Networks™ does not treat the private personal information submitted by Members during account creation, payment or verification as a product for sale to advertisers.
This should be distinguished from business-discovery information that may lawfully be made available through the Platform from public, corporate, business or otherwise lawful sources as part of Bharat Business Networks™ business-discovery Services.
Any monetisation of Platform access does not by itself mean that private Member personal data is being sold.
28. MEMBER VISIBILITY & DISCOVERY
Because Bharat Business Networks™ is a networking ecosystem, certain Member information may be intentionally visible to other Members.
This may include:
- name;
- profile image;
- profession;
- designation;
- organisation;
- business;
- city;
- industry;
- membership status;
- B.Cred™ verification status;
- professional biography;
- products and services; and
- information the Member chooses to publish.
Visibility settings may differ depending upon the relevant Platform feature.
Users should review information before publishing it to their profiles.
29. PUBLIC INFORMATION
Information intentionally published by Members to public-facing areas of Bharat Business Networks™ may be accessible outside the Member community.
This may include:
- business pages;
- marketplace listings;
- public profiles;
- editorial features;
- interviews;
- public posts; and
- other content intended for public visibility.
Once information is publicly available, third parties may independently access or reproduce it.
Bharat Business Networks™ cannot control independent processing performed by third parties outside the Platform.
30. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
Subject to applicable law and communication preferences, Bharat Business Networks™ may send information relating to:
- membership;
- new features;
- events;
- networking opportunities;
- marketplace opportunities;
- collaborations;
- editorial opportunities;
- brand partnerships;
- Platform updates;
- promotional campaigns; and
- other relevant ecosystem offerings.
Where legally required, appropriate consent or opt-out mechanisms will be provided.
Transactional, security or essential service communications may continue where necessary even if you opt out of promotional messages.
31. COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN MEMBERS
Contact information obtained through Bharat Business Networks™ must be used responsibly.
Members must not use Platform information for:
- unlawful spam;
- harassment;
- fraud;
- deceptive communications;
- unlawful profiling;
- unauthorised bulk extraction;
- database resale; or
- purposes prohibited by applicable law.
Each Member is independently responsible for ensuring that their own marketing, outreach and communications comply with applicable legal requirements.
32. DATA SECURITY
Bharat Business Networks™ may implement reasonable technical, organisational and administrative security measures appropriate to the nature of the information processed.
Such measures may include, where appropriate:
- access controls;
- authentication;
- secure infrastructure;
- account controls;
- restricted administrative access;
- logging;
- monitoring;
- backups;
- security testing;
- incident-management procedures; and
- vendor security measures.
However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for promptly notifying Bharat Business Networks™ of suspected unauthorised account access.
33. PERSONAL DATA BREACHES
Where Bharat Business Networks™ becomes aware of a personal-data breach, it may take appropriate steps to:

Certain transaction, invoice and taxation information may be retained for periods required under applicable accounting, taxation and financial laws.
34.3 Deleted Information & Backups
Deletion from active systems may not result in immediate deletion from secure backups.
Backup copies may remain for limited periods until overwritten or deleted according to normal system processes.
35. ACCOUNT CLOSURE
Members may request account closure through available Platform mechanisms or by contacting Bharat Business Networks™.
Closing an account may result in loss of access to:
- membership features;
- Member Dashboard;
- verification status;
- community content;
- marketplace listings;
- connections;
- messaging features; and
- other Platform functionality.
Certain information may continue to be retained where lawfully necessary.
Account closure does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund under the applicable membership Terms.
36. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Subject to applicable law and the extent to which the relevant statutory provisions are in force, you may have rights relating to your personal data.
These may include rights to:
- obtain information about personal-data processing;
- access information relating to personal data;
- request correction;

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to restrict a statutory remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Bharat Business Networks™ is primarily a business and professional ecosystem and is not designed as a general service for children.
Persons who are not legally eligible to independently use paid or contractual Services must not purchase memberships without appropriate legal authority.
